What is Porcelain onlays & inlays?

At times a restoration is slightly too large for a filling to be placed but too small for a porcelain crown to be necessary. Our dentists might recommend placing a dental crown for a variety of reasons but, in general, most of these reasons will usually fall within one of the following basic categories:

1>To restore a tooth to its original shape.
2>To strengthen a tooth.
3>To improve the cosmetic appearance of a tooth
